SpokenSD is a bicycle tour company serving downtown San Diego. It’s for visitors and locals who want to pedal and see the city’s metropolitan hub—and also be enlightened by timely insight about new restaurants, attractions and things to do and see. SpokenSD tours are “urban buzz” rolled into a unique package.
The founder/owner of SpokenSD is Ron Donoho, a San Diegan who’s lived downtown for more than two decades and bikes nearly everywhere. He has guided bike tours, walking food tours and group scavenger hunts. “I thrive on showing off my backyard, and telling the city’s story,” he says.
Ron has worked in San Diego media for 20 years, as the executive editor of San Diego Magazine and editor at San Diego Home/Garden Lifestyles, Pacific San Diego, San Diego CityBeat and SanDiego.com. His freelance writing has appeared in Men’s Health, Men’s Journal, Maxim, Glamour and dozens of national, regional and local publications and websites.
Ron also has a penchant for all things Anchorman, the Will Ferrell movie spoof set in San Diego. Ron was a national finalist in a Ron Burgundy look-alike contest, and has emceed events and parties and hosted parades as the loveably obtuse film character.
As an entertaining and insightful observer/commenter who lives and rides in the heart of the city, Ron is uniquely qualified to show you around San Diego on two wheels on a SpokenSD bike tour.
